The TURNADO bits represent a new generation of snaffles. Due to manufacturing technology, the bit shanks of conventional single-joint bits are of different lengths, which means that a little more pressure is always exerted on one side. You can avoid this problem of uneven pressure distribution by using a TURNADO bit. The joint in the middle of these bits was tilted forward by 45° to ensure even pressure distribution and avoid pressure on the palate.
The rotation is characterized by a slightly roughened surface (sandblasted) of the mouthpiece in the middle area of the bit.
